The Road Ahead: Thrilljoy at NYCC + Upcoming Drops

We know it’s been quiet since SDCC, and you’ve been patiently waiting for updates on the next PIX! drop, Block Party, and NYCC. It wasn’t our intention to keep you in the dark. We’ve been doing everything possible behind the scenes to lock things in so we could bring you good news. Unfortunately, today’s update is a mix of tough realities and silver linings.
What Happened
Right after SDCC, devastating weather and natural disasters swept across Asia. Many people lost homes, jobs, and loved ones. Our factory partners in China were directly impacted by severe flooding. The most important thing we can share is that everyone at the factory is safe. That is what truly matters, and we are deeply grateful for it.
How This Affects Thrilljoy
NYCC:
One of the casualties of the flooding was the production of boxes for our October Block Party. We pushed hard to find alternate sources and solutions, but ultimately it was not possible to get these made in time. This means we won’t be able to Block Party and Bloo’s birthday celebration in New York as planned. It’s a huge disappointment for us as well. We wanted nothing more than to celebrate with you in person. We’re already looking ahead to when we can bring the community together again in full Thrilljoy style.
While Block Party is moving to a later date, you’ll still be able to find Thrilljoy at NYCC through our partners. Look for signings and giveaways at 7 Bucks a Pop and Toy Temple, and catch Brian and Karissa live on the Whatnot Stage Thursday at 4pm.
Hazbin Hotel:
Another impact of the flooding is the timeline for shipping Alastor from Hazbin Hotel, which has shifted to December. If you have questions or concerns, our customer service team is here to help.
Now for the Good News
Horror fans it’s your time! With the new Conjuring film debuting this week, we’re celebrating with a presale of some of your favorite niche characters from the franchise: Crooked Man, Bathsheba, and The Nun. The presale kicks off Friday September 5th at 9am PT.
And for everyone counting down to the next PIX! drop, the wait is almost over. Mark your calendars for September 19th at 9am PT. We’ll be rolling out reveals all week long.
